Animal Village NM is highlighting the benefits of affordable spay and neuter services, saying preventing unwanted litters helps reduce pet overpopulation, eases pressure on rescue systems, and keeps families and pets together while improving animal health and behavior.
The organization announced a low-income spay and neuter registration event Tuesday, May 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at White Sands Mall in Alamogordo. Eligible pet owners can pre-qualify online, and officials say funding is limited, with surgery slots expected to fill quickly.
