Invitation to Voices of Alamogordo Community Forum
As we kick off 2026 with fresh energy and resolve, there’s no better way to learn about our community’s futureabd how government works than by coming together and sharing ideas. The Voices of Alamogordo forum series—designed for open, respectful, and civil dialogue in a salon style setting on the issues that matter most to us—continues this Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Otero Arts (Otero Artspace, 1118 Indiana Avenue, Alamogordo).
Building on the success of the inaugural event in December, which drew strong in-person attendance and hundreds of online viewers, this next session will dive into key topics like infrastructure priorities, city processes, commission roles, funding challenges, and how residents can get involved.
Whether you’re passionate about infrastructure sustainability, downtown revitalization, public safety, or simply want to learn more about local governance, your voice belongs here.
Hosted in the welcoming, historic space of Otero Arts and hosted as a community service by 2nd Life Media Alamogordo Town News and KALHRadio.org as a cornerstone to community engagement in our growing cultural arts district—this free event is open to all who believe in respectful civil dialogue.
Narrated by journalist Chris Edwarda brings your questions, and civility; panelists which are experts in city administration along with Mayor McDonald and Councilman Warren Robinson and fellow attendees will engage in thoughtful conversation to bridge perspectives and learn the processes of how projects move forward within the city and the budget process around projects. Also discussion will involve the role of a commissioner and the mayor in relation to city projects and planning.
In a time when national divisions and partisanship often dominate headlines, events like this remind us that real progress starts locally—with neighbors listening to neighbors.
Join us to help build a stronger, more united and educated Alamogordo. Doors open at 5:30—come early for good seats!
