With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and family patriarch, Eliseo Hernandez, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born on February 10, 1935, and lived a long life defined by hard work, resilience, and quiet kindness.
Though known to some as a gruff or grumpy old man, those who truly knew Eliseo understood the depth of his heart. He showed his love through action more than words, always providing, protecting, and standing strong for his family. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his sense of duty, discipline, and service.
Eliseo is survived by his children, Monica Hernandez, Patrick Hernandez, and Gerard Hernandez; his many grandchildren; and his great grandchildren, all of whom brought him great pride and joy. His legacy lives on through the generations he helped shape, the lessons he taught, and the memories that will be cherished forever.
The Memorial Service for Eliseo Hernandez will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home.
Following the service, a potluck reception will be held at the Moose Lodge from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
