Surviving family include daughters-Maria and Blanca, sons-Martin and Ricardo, grandchildren-Chris, Nivia, Josue, Anthony, Madelyn, Tatiana, Taliana and Iliana along with numerous great grandchildren. Mama Grande has been reunited with her beloved husband Jack D. Spears, son Ramon Spears and grandson Jack Spears Lugaro in heaven.
Mrs. Spears was young at heart! We were amazed at the level of energy she had and seemed to defy the aging process. Mama Grande finally made it to a Los Tigres del Norte concert in 2023 and danced the night away! Favorite pastimes included spending time with family, traveling, car rides with her favorite music, shopping, and beauty care. In between always being on the go Mama Grande enjoyed one of life’s simple pleasures -a Coors light! She lived a good life! We will miss our trendy fashionista who always wore hats along with her quirky sayings. Thank you for the values and lessons learned! We love you! Descanse en paz.
A rosary will be held at St. Judes Parish on December 1, 2025 at 1015 a.m. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Mama Grande will be laid to rest at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery immediately after.
“Así como una madre consuela a su hijo, así también yo los consolaré; y ustedes serán consolados en Jerusalén.”
Isaiah 66:13
The Spears family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home, Inc. to direct the funeral services.
