County Certified Election Turnout

The turnout for the Otero County Election of 2025 was officially certified by the County Clerk’s Office on 12 November 2025. This certification confirms that the election process was conducted in accordance with legal standards and that the results accurately reflect the participation of Otero County voters.

Alamogordo Mayoral Election Outcome

Congratulations to Ms. Sharon McDonald, who has been selected to serve as the Mayor of Alamogordo for the term spanning 2026 to 2030. Ms. McDonald is a lifelong resident of the Alamogordo community and an alumna of Alamogordo High School. Over the years, she has demonstrated her commitment to the city through active involvement in various volunteer and civic groups.

Ms. McDonald currently serves as Mayor Pro-Tem and has represented her District 5 community as their City Commissioner for the past six years. Her dedication and leadership have earned her the support of many within the community.

Special thanks are extended to the coalition of volunteer workers and supporters who contributed their time and effort to Ms. McDonald’s campaign. Their hard work was instrumental in this achievement, and we look forward to the positive impact of Ms. McDonald’s upcoming administration.
