Patsy Edna Nora Parsons, 54, passed away peacefully at 2:22 p.m. on November 11, 2025, in Tularosa, New Mexico. She was born on July 16, 1971, in Ruidoso, New Mexico, to John Henry Henley and Helen K. Henley Hall.
Patsy lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service. She dedicated her career to education, working in various school districts and finishing her career at Desert Star Elementary as an Educational Assistant. Her warmth, patience, and ability to make every child feel seen and valued left a lasting impact on countless lives.
She married her soul mate, Lonny Jerome Parsons, on November 28, 1992, and together they shared more than three decades of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
Patsy loved deeply and fiercely. Though small in stature, she carried an incredibly strong spirit - mighty in both presence and faith. She had a passion for gardening, home decorating, and hummingbirds, finding joy in every small, beautiful detail of creation. Her home was her desert oasis - a peaceful retreat surrounded by colorful blooms that reflected her warmth and love for nature.
Patsy faced cancer with unshakable faith and remarkable determination. She fought courageously, and those closest to her believe she remained in control of her journey until the very end - leaving this world on her own terms, with peace, strength, and grace.
Survivors include her husband, Lonny Parsons; her daughter, Chessie (Brandon) Hollibaugh; her sons, Lonny Parsons Jr. and Logan Parsons (Caitlyn Bowman); and her grandchildren - Evelette, Londyn, Shirley, and Ryker Hollibaugh - who brought her endless pride and joy. In addition, Patsy opened her heart and home to several children she considered her own, each of whom carries her love forward in their lives. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Brown, and her brother, Will Henley, along with countless family members and friends who will dearly miss her.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Henley; her mother, Helen K. Henley Hall; her brother, Clarence “Bud” Henley; and her sister, Joyce Henley.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Tularosa Community Church, with Pastor Charles officiating. The family kindly requests that those attending the service wear her favorite color, blue, or a floral pattern in her honor.
Following the service, her ashes will be lovingly scattered among the flowers of her beloved home - her desert oasis.
