Another Disappointing Showing For The Left

This post expresses the views and opinions of the author(s) and not necessarily that of 2nd Life Media Alamogordo Town News management or staff.

Saturday in Alamogordo was another disappointing showing for the left
as a little over 100 people showed up for the No
Kings protest.

I was in the area
for about an hour and a half, and while there was fairly heavy
traffic on both White Sands blvd as well as 10th street,
there was little support for the protesters from the passing traffic. Roughly 2% - 3% of
passing cars showed support by honking horns, while others gave
signals of disapproval.

The event drew
protesters from Arizona and Texas, and even as far away as Georgia,
Oregon, Nebraska, and Minnesota, as well as from other portions of
New Mexico. Many of the cars parked in the vicinity with New Mexico
plates showed signs of long highway trips.

The crowd was not
violent. Mainly because the most common type of masks were oxygen
masks, as the median age of the crowd appeared to be about 65, with
an average age of about 60.

Organizers tried to
mask the money behind the organization by forgoing pre-printed signs
and instead having hand written
signs for the most part. However, all but a very few signs carried pre-selected slogans that were
repeated numerous times, contradicting any claims of individual
thoughts being expressed by
protesters.

Notably absent were
some of the more prominent liberals of the area, Sharon McDonald and
others were nowhere to be found. Although at least a couple of
McDonald’s supporters were there holding up
campaign signs.

All in all an
extremely poor turnout for what this publication says is a ground
swell of local support for liberal causes. From what I could tell,
maybe 50 or 60 of the protesters were local residents.

I'm not sure where John was, but at the real protest, which my wife and me and 500 other Alamogordons attended, there was a lot of support from drivers on White Sands Blvd, including semitrucks, many cars, and a lot of pickup trucks and SUVs. The honking in support was so loud at times we couldn't hear each other speak.

BTW, John, I'm still waiting for my check from George Soros. Maybe it's lost in the mail due to the Trump Admin's constant undermining of our postal workers.

Original poster mentions “the left”.  Ummm, the “No Kings” movement isn’t about party politics. It’s about ownership—who owns this country, who the government serves, and whether we’ve got the guts to live up to the words that built it. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution aren’t just framed documents behind museum glass. They’re contracts—signed in blood and rebellion—and the people who marched this weekend decided to enforce them. The Founding Fathers, for all their flaws and hypocrisies, understood one thing perfectly: power corrupts when it’s concentrated.

neighbor john is still clinging to the right-wing nutjob story that all these protestors are on soro's payroll - that gives them some comfort - they simply cannot conceive of the fact that all americans do not worship their dear leader.

and do not forget that within days, the first people HERE in OTERO county will begin receiving the bad news that their obamacare health insurance rates have been replaced by the trump regimes hatchet job on health care - so that donnie's billionaire buddies can pay less taxes.

and, one day soon, little mikie johnson will run out of excuses, and be forced to seat Arizona Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva - and just like magic the Epstein Files will be back on the front page around the world!

Me, too. Same thing that happened to me in the Alamogordo Eyes and Ears group on Facebook 2 weeks ago when I published a list of facts about my own life. Right after that, my Facebook account was taken down completely. Things like: I have never been married. I do not have a life insurance policy. Figure it out, people!!

John seems to have issues with reality, honesty, or both. When I called out his pdf-file-in-chief restricting free speech on his What is free speech ramblings, he grew silent.

Personally, I doubt John knows what left is either. He has been sold a lie by Faux news and company that the democratic party is leftist. I'll tell you again, John boy, the Democratic Party is center-right on its best day.

What people don't seem to want is some **** who puts out an AI video of themselves wearing symbols of a monarchy while they dump feces on their constituents. A president is supposed to represent all citizens, not just the ones who are in his cult.
