I closed my eyes, quieted my pain and ascended to a beautiful place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Most obituaries would be written by family scratching their heads, not knowing which life accomplishments and family of mine to highlight. Most people wouldn't write their own obituary however, to be different, I have decided to write mine.
Instead of bragging about my own accomplishments, I would rather tell you what a blast my life was. Too many vacations to name but they were FUN. Vacations with nieces, nephews, The Gipson 6 pack, and Johnnie Mae, covered 31 states over the years. Not to mention the many business trips with co-workers. I know when I reminisced, I thought about the good more than the bad and know for a fact that I laughed more than I cried. I indulged my love for baking, especially during the holidays, with Bonnie, Billy Mike, Andy, and Leslie, and in later years I spent many hours sharing that time with Kayla, Cassie, Kelly, and Shelly. I did my fair share of crocheting, but my favorite pastime was going to the casino, I just loved those penny slots.
Now, I am not a saint, I have had evil thoughts, I just didn't follow through with them. When I was "eliminated" at GCRMC, where I had given my heart and soul for 38 3/4 years, in less than a minute, I was "put out to pasture", for lack of a better phrase, it knocked me for a loop. I wanted to do damage to a few people but didn't.
I was happy with my life, and I cherished the times I got to spend with my 14 nieces and nephews. Billy Mike, Andy, Leslie, Tammie, Crystal, Amy, John, Katie, David, Jessica, Kayla, Cassie, Kelly, and Shelly. I can't imagine how so many people are not happy with their family. If you have family, enjoy them, don't fight with them. Happiness is a choice, please choose it with family every time.
Left to cherish memories of me is my fur baby, Liberty; sisters, Bonnie Gipson and husband Ken, Johnnie Mae Fish and husband Chris Wallace; aunt, Lois Hutchens; my 14 nieces and nephews; a few great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; as well as many cousins.
I will be reunited with my parents, William and Loretta Fish; brothers, Ronny and Donny; nephew, David; my Greg Chipley; my fur babies, Hippa, Bigun, Bubba, Cricket, Noel, Whisper, Mischief, and Biscuit, in the hereafter.
