In Memory of Vester "Steve" Steven Bennett

Vester "Steve" Steven Bennett, 72, passed away on October 13, 2025, in La Luz, New Mexico. He was born on February 9, 1953, in El Paso, Texas to Vester and Winnie (Herrin) Bennett.

Steve was a crane operator for 40+ years. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, hunting, shooting, and spending time with his 7 grandsons. Steve loved to be outdoors and working with his hands. He enjoyed raising chickens and was an avid collector of antiques, filled with plenty of knowledge. Steve is loved by many.

Survivors include his son, Bryan Bennett and wife Shannon, their sons, Justin and Evan; daughter, Sarah Segura and husband Jose (Paul), their sons, Nathaniel, Michael, Vitoriano, Gabriel, Lucenzo Segura; sister, Bridgette Rardin and husband Ronnie Rardin; nieces and nephew; Mark and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vester Esker Bennett; mother, Winnie Lee Bennett; wife, Laurie Bennett; grandson, Bryce Bennett.

The Bennett family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
