Why wouldn't we vote for miss Sharon?
Dear Alamogordo Community,
As someone who grew up in Alamogordo, I carry a deep love and commitment to my hometown. My work as a healthcare and community advocate has shown me how important strong, responsive leadership is to the well-being of families and neighborhoods. That’s why I am proud to endorse Sharon McDonald for Mayor of Alamogordo.
Sharon has proven that she is not only willing to listen but also ready to act. From revitalizing community spaces and addressing neighborhood safety, to ensuring that city resources are accessible to all residents, she has consistently demonstrated integrity, compassion, and results-driven leadership.
What inspires me most is Sharon’s ability to connect with people across generations and walks of life. Whether it’s seniors advocating for better services, parents concerned about safe parks, or small business owners looking for a fair partner in City Hall, Sharon shows up. She listens carefully, works collaboratively, and brings transparency to the process.
Alamogordo deserves a leader who will prioritize public health, safety, and opportunity for every resident. Sharon McDonald is that leader. She has the vision and determination to guide Alamogordo into a brighter future, while staying grounded in the values that make our community strong.
I urge my fellow Alamogordo residents to support Sharon McDonald for Mayor. Together, we can ensure a healthier, more vibrant future for our hometown.
Sincerely,
Tracy Perry

she is obviously a dedicated public servant - smart and hard working - the living definition of a community activist. regrettably, that means the "faith and flag crowd" cannot, and will not, support her.
if you go back and read the article on 9/30, listing their endorsed candidates - she did not appear in their approved list for mayor. it seems she does not meet the requirements established by "constitutional conservatives" - in other words, she's not a boot-licker.
(that article should also put to rest any notion that there is such a thing as a non-partisan election in 2025. their slate includes not just judges and school boards, but also water & sanitation jobs. it is their intent to establish lock-hold control over our government.)
if alamogordo wants to elect the most dedicated, hardworking public servant running for mayor, the voters are going to have to go against the tide and reject the "faith and flag crowd".
