Although he was affectionately known as “Bubba” by those who loved him, Christopher embodied his name “Bearer of Christ” throughout his short but meaningful life. Despite the adversities he faced, he remained strong in his faith, finding solace in his favorite book, The Bible. He will be forever remembered singing his favorite song, “This Little Light of Mine”, while encouraging others to let their faith shine.
Christopher was a loving son to Steven and Oddray Scroggs, brother to Christen Jones, and father to Azileah Chavez, Alyvia and Lincoln Jones. His love extended beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of his grandmother, Linda Scroggs; cousins, KD, Theron and Divina Shields, Bonnie, Jules and Amelia Neal, Shania Tinney, Jakelynn and Jenny Armstrong; uncles and aunts, Joe and Connie Shields, Rhett Jones, Nita Tinney, and many others.
Known for his infectious smile and laughter, he found joy in skateboarding, hiking, working out, and playing bingo. His unfaltering spirit and zest for life were unmistakable. His legacy of strength, perseverance, and unconditional love will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all those who have offered comfort, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
As we say our final goodbyes, may we celebrate Christopher’s life and remember him as a beacon of kindness, courage, love, and for his faith in the Lord.
