In Memory of David Garcia

David Garcia, 85, passed away on June 24, 2025, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born on September 21, 1939, in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Lazaro and Micaela (Sanchez) Garcia.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Emperatriz Garcia; father, Lazaro Garcia; mother, Micaela Garcia; brother, Lazaro Garcia; sisters, Betty (Veronica) Viscara and Margaret Gonzales; great granddaughter, Kiana.

David was a cherished father, husband, brother, son, Papo (grandfather), uncle, friend, and Godfather to many. David and Mary spent most of their retired life close by each other's side. He loved all of his family deeply. He especially loved all of his nephews, nieces, sisters, brother, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren with all of his heart. David was the greatest dad in the world to Tony, Chris, and Michael whom he had never ending love for.

David is survived by his three sons: Tony Garcia and wife Pam and their children, Ruth Walker, Tony Jr. (Nichole) Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Sara (Chris) Harper, Eric Southern; Chris Garcia; Michael Garcia and wife Saida and their children, Michele (Ben) Graham, Alyssia Garcia, Kareyn (Joshua) Rodgers, Horacio (Nichole) Quintanilla, Fabian (Deja) Quintanilla, Daniel (Alondra) Quintanilla; 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ernestina Provencio (Panta) and Mary Lou Gomez (Ruben); very special friends, Elle and Veronica Gutierrez, and Liz Torres.

David was deeply loved by all who knew him and will live on for generations to come in each of our cherished memories.

A grateful and heartfelt thank you to Saida, Alyssia, Elle, Veronica, Tia Tiny, Tia Mary Lou, Ruben, David Romo, Liz Torres, and Sister Mary Lynn for the visits and preparing food brought to dad during these 8 months of grieving over the passing of his wife Mary.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held in his honor at 11:00 am, Friday, July 11, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Alamogordo, NM.
