Virginia Elaine Painter, 79, passed away on June 22, 2025, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Born on July 19, 1945, Elaine lived in Alamogordo for 45 years. Elaine was born and raised in Malvern, Arkansas and graduated from Malvern High School; however, she made Alamogordo her home.
Elaine and Robert Painter operated Continental Motors and Continental Self Storage in Alamogordo for more than 35 years. Elaine dedicated more than two decades working at the Law Offices of Fettinger and Bloom. She managed the Dessert Palms Mobile Estates for over a decade, a tenure marked by diligence and commitment. Elaine had a passion for travel and an immense love of animals and was incredibly devoted to her dog, Molly.
Elaine loved her family, her work, her friends, and those she shared her life with. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. Elaine is survived by her sister, Donna Freeman; son, Christopher Nodine; daughter-in-law, Jennipher Harris; grandsons, Harrison and Chase Nodine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Willie Rogers and her husband, Robert Painter.
A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene, 817 N. Scenic Drive in Alamogordo.
