The Exodus Is On

This post expresses the views and opinions of the author(s) and not necessarily that of 2nd Life Media Alamogordo Town News management or staff.

While the 2028 presidential election is looking hopeful for Republicans, the 2032 election looks like it will be a slam dunk.

Democrats nationally are becoming more and more isolated in their termite mounds they think of as ivory towers.

There has been a mass exodus of people leaving blue states, and especially of people leaving blue cities.  And thanks to Democrat policies, it's speeding up.

In one year alone, from July 22, - July 23, New York city lost 77,000 people according to the US Census Bureau.  And that's after a huge influx of illegals into the city which are counted by the bureau.

The general exodus is from blue state to red state, but even states that haven't seen a loss in total population have seen a move from blue cities to suburbs and rural areas.

The most likely reason is crime, as the cities most often in the news for their "mostly peaceful protests", are also the ones showing the biggest declines.  But there are numerous other reasons as well, like taxes and education.

The major problem for dems besides losing congressional seats and electoral votes, is that the people moving out are business owners, taking their business with them.  So the tax and spend city and state leaders are also losing their tax base.  There will also be increasing pressure from red states not to bail them out.

Maybe dems could take a clue from the 9/11 hijackers, they used a computer game, Flight Sim '98, to learn how to fly airplanes.  Maybe we could give dems copies of Sim City, so they can learn how high taxes, crime, and lack of infrastructure affect voter sentiment instead of practicing on us.

I used to think of '80's dystopia movies like Judge Dredd, and Escape From L.A. as just cool action movies that could never actually happen.  Democrats seem to have taken them as blue prints for building an everlasting power base.

I can actually imagine Dem power mongers building a wall around cities to keep people in.

Russia, China, North Korea, Venezuela, and Germany in the 1930's, they all started off with charismatic scammers like Mamdani promising the moon, and then delivering a black hole.
He's not the Republican's worst nightmare, he's Democrats worst nightmare.  If he wins in November, we can hold him up as the poster child of the progressive movement all next year.
But feel free to go shopping in one of his city owned grocery stores, I'm pretty sure they'll be well stocked on Kool-aid and Solent Green.

you sure lean into that kool-aid reference - why don't you utilize the trump derangement syndrome?  could it be that as dear leaders support erodes that one doesn't ring as true?
i am glad you included the german reference from the 1930's - that's exactly the one i mentioned - planned for 1000 years delivered 13.  that great leader promised two things; he would make the deutsche mark strong, and he would make germans' proud again.  trump is deviating by hinting that the dollar is weak, and needs to be replaced with bitcoins; but maga is an echo of the promise to make "true" germans proud again.

You have commented several times, questioning how I seem to be an expert on everything, but it seems the real question is how you, after more than 30 years in politics, can know so little.
Trump doesn't want a strong dollar, and neither does anyone else who cares about the American worker.  But neither does he want to artificially deflate the dollar the way China does with their Yuan.
A strong dollar means we can buy Chinese goods a little cheaper, but it also means our exports cost more on the global market.  I reject the idea that America should be a service economy, and so does Trump and his supporters.
We want to bring back American manufacturing jobs not just for the good of the American worker, but for national security as well.
The victories of WWI and WWII were as much attributable to Ford and Westinghouse, as they were to Paton and Nimitz.
Today we have the technology and the leadership, but we lack the capacity for a sustained engagement.  There is no president in the last 100 years that has pursued peace, and accomplished it, more than president Trump.  But if a prolonged engagement is forced upon us, we need the capacity to withstand it.
This country was built by craftsman, not salesmen. President Trump is restoring our rightful heritage.

okay, i'll play your little game; do you know the difference between fiscal policy and monetary policy?  dear leader's braintrust is actively discussing the devaluation of the dollar.                                                  this is a third world economic maneuver, wherein a government simply declares that it's fiat currency is only going to be honored at some lower level than before.  mexican president zedilla devalued the peso in 1994, and reading up on how that played out, might help you understand the level of risk involved in this "brilliant plan".
Mexican peso crisis - Wikipedia
the real world effect of such a move is that everyone who is holding $, will have less value in their holdings. savings/checking accounts, bond investments, social security/pensions/annuities - anything you are holding that involves a promise of payment in dollars - will instantly be worth less than before.  mexico's devaluation helped create the rush of immigration that has been such a huge concern here.
Trump’s Plan to Devalue the Dollar: Strategy, Risks, and Global Reactions - MAC 30
this plan is a workaround to render jerome powell powerless at the federal reserve - and totally remake the us economy...so that the rich will become much richer, and the rest of us pick up the tab.

many years ago, economics was my second major - and the clowns who are promoting this are a clear and present danger to these united states.

I stand by every word of my previous post.
I've seen you and other liberals attribute numerous different schemes and policies to Trump and his administration, none of which have been true, including this one.
If you're so worried about the value of the dollar, why don't you exchange your dollars for currencies you believe in, like the Ruble, or Rian.
A lot of so called economists have forecast doom and gloom over tariff's, deportations and other things, none of which have come to pass.
The S&P 500 and the Dow Jones have both just set record highs.
Unemployment is down, inflation is down, govt. spending and taxes are going down, while federal revenues will remain virtually unchanged.
Meaning that we will actually be reducing the deficit.
Since April the federal govt. has already taken in over $100,000,000,000.00 in tariff revenue, 100 Billion dollars in just 3 months.
The DOJ has just announced a criminal case involving $14 billion dollars in fraudulent Medicaid/Medicare payments.  That's 14% of the highest estimate of cuts I've seen in the OBBB, in just one criminal case on the provider side of things.
Now couple that with savings in fraudulent recipients and states that allow illegals on the program, and it's clear to see that the intended recipients have nothing to fear in the way of cuts.
Your party claims to be big on diversity, but when it comes to the economy, you want no diversity at all, everyone is supposed to work in the service industry, except law enforcement, that service has to go away.
You and your party make me sick, thankfully you're not much different than the Covid dempanic, you just naturally get weaker all the time.
