The burial of her ashes will follow at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. A reception in her honor will be held following the burial, at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall.
Belen was born on June 10, 1951, in Guadalupe, Zacatecas, Mexico to Bernando Garcia and Guadalupe Venegas. She is remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy. She frequently spent time with her daughter, granddaughter, other family and friends, creating her special dinners, or sharing her sweat tamales with coffee and great conversation.
In her spare time, Belen enjoyed collecting crystal items and housewares, but she mostly enjoyed her collection of shoes and clothes, that made her feel special when she went out to town. She loved to share her clothes with others as well. On any given day, you could hear her from the kitchen, cheering on the Mexican National Soccer Team. Belen loved and supported her family and friends unconditionally, and her loyalty to those she loved was steadfast and unwavering. Belen will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her, and her compassion and generosity towards others will forever be an example for us all.
She is survived by her Children, Maria (Nelly) Valdez, Jose Guzman, Gina Cardiel, granddaughter Delores Shields, and Enrique Hernandez Jr (godson).
She is preceded in death by her parents Bernando Garcia (father), Guadalupe Venegas (mother), Isaias Lainez (son), and Gilbert Valdez (husband).
