Patricia Jean Watkins, born on a farm in Venango County Pennsylvania on May 5, 1932, peacefully left this world on May 13, 2025, at the age of 93.
Her journey through life was marked by creativity, resilience, and an unyielding love for her family and nature. Patricia, or Pat as she was fondly known, was a religious soul who held her Christian beliefs close to her heart. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, providing her with comfort and strength. She found immense joy in her artistic pursuits, sharing her passion for painting and drawing with everyone around her. Her talents didn't go unnoticed as she proudly contributed her skills with other artist around the world. Pat also spent time with the National Forest Service where she truly enjoyed nature and the magic within it.
Family was everything to Pat. She leaves behind her children, Steven and spouse Tish Watkins, Daryle and spouse Nancy Watkins, Teresa and spouse Jeff McGarvey who will forever cherish the memories they created together. Pat was also the proud grandmother to Michelle, Jeremy, Brian, and Megan, as well as a loving great-grandmother to a spirited bunch: Devin, Samuel, Tristen, Mathias, Aiden, Maddie, Noah, Hunter, Olivia, Colten, Krystal, Jaxson, Dalton, Maddox, and Parker. Each of them held a special place in her heart.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, James Veloid Cotherman and Blanche Mae Halsizer; and grandson Timothy McGarvey.
Though the details of her celebration of life are yet to be determined, we know it will be a gathering filled with stories, laughter, and the warmth of those she touched. In remembering Pat, we honor a life well-lived—a life that painted the world with kindness and color. As we bid farewell, let us hold onto the lessons Pat shared with us: to find beauty in every moment, to cherish our loved ones, and to live with an open heart. She may have left her earthly home, but her legacy will continue to inspire us all until we meet again.
