Johnny Mirabal, 71, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, leaving us all broken hearted. He was born on November 5, 1953, in Alamogordo, New Mexico where he has lived throughout his life.
Johnny is preceded in death by his father, Joseph D. Mirabal; mother, Miquella Mirabal; sister, Ida Moncada; brother, Rudy Mirabal.
Johnny is survived by his brothers, James (Connie) Mirabal of Albuquerque, Mark (Debbie) Mirabal of Las Cruces, Charles (Mariaelna) Mirabal of Alamogordo; sisters, Dolly Mirabal of Colorado, Joanne (George) Fuentes of Colorado; daughter, Michelle Mirabal of Alamogordo; sons, Juan D. Mirabal of Alamogordo, Isaac (Diana) Mirabal of Alamogordo; 9 grandchildren, Juan Marcos Elizaldez, Santiago D. Mirabal, Justin Lucero, Melanie Mirabal, Adaam Vazquez, Isaac Joe Mirabal, Avrian (Av) Mirabal, Noah Mirabal, Jonathan Mirabal; 6 great grandchildren.
Johnny was an active member of our community. He coached many kids including several of his own grandchildren. Johnny was a huge sports fan, his favorite teams being Raiders, Lakers, Dodgers, and NM Lobos. He loved the outdoors including camping, fishing and hunting. Johnny lived for his family whom he is loved by dearly. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Services for Johnny will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 10:30 am. Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am with Mass celebrated at 11:30 am.
Johnny will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery with his mother, Miquella.
A reception will follow services at the ICC Hall.
Pallbearers include Vincente Mirabal, Brian Mirabal, Freddie Lopez, Orlando Chavez, Christopher Gwen, Lloyd Chavez, Chris Chavez.
The Mirabal family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
