In Memory of Kimberly Dawn Duran

Kimberly Dawn Duran, beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away on March 25, 2025, in El Paso, TX at the age of 46. She was born on November 22, 1978, in Alamogordo, NM, to Cynthia Deason Duran and Eusebio “Tim” Duran. Kimberly was preceded in death by her loving mother, Cindy Duran and her stepmother, Rita Baca; her grandparents, Elena and Manuel Duran and Priscilla and Alvin Deason. She is also preceded in death by aunts, Cathy Contreras, Veronica Duran, Teresa Duran Guilez, and Ernestina Polaco; uncles, Georgie Duran, Pate Guilez, and Joe Sandoval; and cousin, Genevieve Guilez.

Kimberly leaves behind her devoted father, Eusebio "Tim" Duran, and her cherished sisters, RaeAnna Duran, Victoria Duran and husband Richard Duran, and Leighann Duran. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchild: aunts, Rose Mary Cordova, Juanita Sandoval, Patricia Gonzales, Diane Duran, Dolores and Tommy Estrada, Sylvia Duran, Rachel Baca; uncles, Jimmy Barlett, Manual Duran and Lucy Ramirez, Andy and Corina Duran, Sam and Lillian Duran; niece, Hailey Duran; nephews, Josiah, Richard, Ray, and Victor Duran; goddaughter, Elaina Centrella. Kimberly’s family was everything to her, and she always enjoyed the time spent with them, sharing laughter, love, and especially dancing to Spanish music with her dad.

Kimberly was known for her radiant smile and infectious laugh. Her positive energy and warm spirit filled any room she entered. She had a heart of gold, always helping others whenever they were in need, and her kindness knew no bounds. Her ability to brighten anyone’s day will be sorely missed, but her legacy of love and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in Tularosa, NM. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am by Corina Duran, with Mass celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will follow services at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Kimberly’s family invites all who knew and loved her to join them as they honor her memory.

Pallbearers include Josiah Duran, Christopher Pino, Gilbert Guilez, Carlos Guilez, Jonathan Duran, and Chris Duran. Honorary Pallbearers are all of her cousins and friends.

Though she may no longer be with us, Kimberly’s spirit and the memories of her boundless love and laughter will forever remain in our hearts. She will be missed dearly.

The Duran family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
