In Memory of Antonio Romero

Antonio Romero, aged 77, of Alamogordo, NM passed away on March 22, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on September 30, 1947, Antonio dedicated many years to his career as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver, a role that showcased his robust work ethic and commitment to excellence.

A proud veteran of the Army, Antonio's service to his country was a significant part of his life, reflecting his dedication and resilience.

Antonio was a man who embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and horseback rider, often sharing these passions with his children and grandchildren. His passion and teaching for the great outdoors was embraced by many, and these shared moments created cherished memories for his family.

Antonio leaves behind his loving wife, Yvonne; his children, Tony, Jr. and wife Kriston, Yvette and husband Paul, Gregory and wife Cristal. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Gabriel, Aracely, Israel, Dominic, Mariah, Bree, and Layla. Antonio is also survived by his sisters, Josie, Elsie, and Beatrice and husband Robert, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Stella Romero; his brother, Manuel; and sisters, Dorothy, Jane, and Annie.

Services to honor Antonio's life will be held at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church in La Luz, NM on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Viewing will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am with Mass celebrated at 11:00 am.

Antonio's life will be remembered as one of profound commitment to his family, his country, and his community.
