In Memory of Jerry Dwight Branch, Sr.

“For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight; I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:6-7

Jerry Dwight Branch, Sr. was born on May 13, 1949, in Clinton, OK to Edna and Jesse Branch, Sr. He moved with his family to Alamogordo, NM in 1963. Jerry entered into eternal rest on November 11, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM.

Jerry graduated from Alamogordo Public Schools. He was employed at Dynalectron and Dyncorp working government contracts at Holloman Air Force Base for over 30 years.

Jerry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Corinth Baptist Church in Alamogordo where he was an avid member of Sunday School and Church Services. He was a faithful servant and a true believer in the Word of God. His kindness and respect with which he treated others, demonstrated the Christian core which shaped his life. He enjoyed working on vehicles and washing his cars, making them shine like a brand-new penny.

Jerry Dwight Branch, Sr. is survived by and leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Angela Irby of Alamogordo, NM; sons, Jerry Dwight, Jr. (Jasmine) of Albuquerque, NM, Rico Torres of Alamogordo, NM, Shon Hightower of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Linda Jackson of Mesa, AZ; brothers, Lewis Branch (Jean) of Alamogordo, NM and Jessie Branch, Jr. (Margaret) of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Edna Mae (Huckleby) Branch and Jesse Lee Branch, Sr.; sister, Doris Mae Meyers; brothers, Clifton Adair and Sylvester Branch, Sr.; daughter, Takiyah Allen; granddaughter, Keana Hightower.
 Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Corinth Baptist Church.

The Funeral Service for Jerry Branch will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Corinth Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.

The Branch family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
