In Memory of Arthur Luis Ortega

Arthur Luis Ortega passed away in El Paso, Texas at 8 am on June 24, 2024, with his son Logan by his side. Art was born on February 16, 1959, to Pedro Ortega and Eloisa Sarmiento. He grew up in Alamogordo, New Mexico with his sisters, Alicia, Cynthia, Margaret, and Veronica Ortega.

In adulthood, Arthur traveled all over the country for work, most notably as a lineman for telephone companies. In 1995, Art had a son, Logan, and another son in 1997, Caleb.

Arthur was a very social person and traveling was one of his favorite things to do along with skiing and going to the horse races with his father and friends. Art’s most outstanding traits were his giving nature, his capacity for forgiveness, and most notably, his sense of humor.

Arthur is survived by his sisters, Alicia and Veronica; his two sons, Caleb, and Logan and his wife Alexis and their children, Asher, Lyla, and Ezra; numerous nieces and nephews; and several close friends. He will now be reunited with his father and mother, Pedro and Eloisa, and his sisters, Margaret and Cindy, in Heaven.

Arthur’s Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at The Worship Center with interment to follow at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.

A reception will be held after interment at The Sgt. Willie Estrada Memorial Center.

The Ortega family has entrusted their loved one to the care of PCS Direct Cremation Service.
