Robert (Bobby) Paul Jones passed away on February 28, 2024 at his home in Big Lake, Alaska. Bobby is survived by his two daughters, Kammi, and husband Joey, Whitted of Lordsburg, NM, and Kendra, and husband Jimmy, Bridge of Tularosa; four grandchildren, Haylee and Conner Whitted and Marina and Tayton Bridge. He is also survived by brothers Wayne Jones of White Hills, AZ and Ricky Jones of Alamogordo, NM. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Polly Jones, and his grandparents, Doward and Aliene Jones.
Bobby was born on August 6th, 1959 in Alamogordo, NM and was 64 years old at the time of his death. He was raised in the Alamogordo area and graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1977. After graduation, he enlisted and proudly served his country in the United States Army until 1981, demonstrating his commitment to duty and honor. Upon returning to the Alamogordo area, he was employed for many years with Jack Wayte Construction. In 1996, Bobby left New Mexico and moved to Alaska where he lived until his death.
Those who knew Bobby will remember him having an infectious laugh and a big heart. He was a jack of all trades and could fix many things. His construction skills were excellent and those who were able to work around him definitely benefited from his expertise and abilities.
A memorial service for family and close friends in memory of Bobby will be held on Jun 29, 2024 at 2pm at the First Baptist Church 500 Granado St, Tularosa New Mexico 88352.
