In Memory Jackie Prewitt

Jacqueline Madeline Prewitt, 94, a loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at GCMH in Alamogordo, NM on Monday, January 8, 2024. Jackie was born August 26, 1929 in McAlester, OK to Bennett Sittel and Mary Catherine Solberg. Jackie was a proud Native American descendant of the Chickasaw Nation. She was an avid quilter, loved to read, and travel around the country with her husband in their RV. She was a proud Marine Corps wife, and supporter of all those who served in the Military. She also enjoyed playing cards and going on walks, though she was most content spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved our Lord above all, and devoted her life to His love.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Albert Sittel; sister, Wana Woody; and her daughter, Linda Lou Stephens. She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Allen D. Prewitt, Jr.; sons: Allen Duke Prewitt, III and his wife, Anita, and Jack Edmond Prewitt and his wife, Kathleen; sister, Mary Sittel of Alamogordo, NM; grandchildren: Allen Prewitt, IV, Jennifer Roberts, Kristine Story, Andrew Prewitt, Jacob Prewitt, Jessica Prewitt, Stephanie Barrett, and Melanie Yesbeck; Great Grandchildren: Jeriah Roberts, Jacob Roberts, Haley Story, Aspen Story, Memphis Prewitt, Jacob Prewitt, Shyla Prewitt, Gage Yesbeck, Bethany Donaldson, and Kimberly Graham; and Great Great Grandchildren: Marley Yesbeck, Maverick Yesbeck and Malakai Yesbeck. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
