“Crystal Blues” Narcotics Operation

“Today, 26 defendants were arrested subsequent to an undercover narcotics investigation conducted by the White Mountain Drug Task Force of Otero County. The White Mountain Drug Task Force consists of personnel from the Alamogordo Police Department, Otero County Sheriff’s Office, and United States Border Patrol. Between August 2021 and February 2022, undercover officers successfully purchased methamphetamines, cocaine, and fentanyl from numerous illegal narcotics dealers around the Otero County area. Law Enforcement Officers with the Alamogordo Police Department, Otero County Sheriff’s Office, DEA, United States Marshals Service and United States Border Patrol assisted the White Mountain Drug Task Force with attempting to serve the arrest warrants and search warrants. As a result of today’s roundup, 8 additional criminal investigations including Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia were initiated. All defendants from this operation are being charged with either Trafficking a Controlled Substance or Conspiring to Traffic a Controlled Substance.”
