Alamogordo N.M. - A vision forged through partnership has become reality. On Thursday, Alamogordo Public Schools unveiled the brand-new Holloman Middle School, a $60 million architectural achievement that transforms education on Holloman Air Force Base and represents a bold commitment to military-connected students and families.

The new facility—designed by Dekker Design and constructed by Bradbury Stamm Construction—marks the completion of an innovative, fully integrated PreK-8 public school campus. It replaces aging structures that had served the base since 1973, introducing 21st-century learning spaces with higher-capacity classrooms, modern outdoor environments, and collaborative areas designed to optimize resources across the entire PreK-8 campus.

“When we broke ground on this spot, we shared a bold vision for what this campus could become,” said Michael Crabtree, Superintendent of Alamogordo Public Schools. “Standing here today, looking out at this state-of-the-art facility, I can proudly say that vision is now a reality. This project is a testament to the enduring partnership between Holloman Air Force Base, our district, and our entire community.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together military leadership, state representatives, educators, civic leaders, and families to celebrate not just a new building, but new possibilities—a facility poised to serve thousands of students for generations to come.
