On March 27th, 2025, the New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau arrested a man on multiple charges of child sexual abuse after an investigation that began in 2024.
On December 11, 2024, NMSP agents were contacted about multiple alleged incidents of criminal sexual contact at the Mountain View Christian Academy in Ruidoso. The suspect was identified as Devin Henderson (23) of Ruidoso.
Agents learned that eight children, ages 10 and under, reported that Henderson inappropriately touched them on more than one occasion while attending his computer class. Investigation Bureau Agents attended forensic interviews of the children and learned Henderson would also show them explicit photographs of himself on his cell phone.
During this extensive investigation, Investigations Bureau Agents executed multiple search warrants with the assistance of the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office- Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit Office and New Mexico State Police Uniform Bureau. An arrest warrant was issued for Mr. Henderson on March 27, 2025, and he was taken into custody the same day by New Mexico State Police Investigation Bureau Agents and officers without incident in Ruidoso.
Henderson had been an employee at Mountain View Christian Academy since January of 2023 and was placed on administrative leave once the school learned of these allegations but was later terminated.
Henderson has been charged with the following:
• Sexual Exploitation of Children- 22 counts
• Enticement of a Child- 7 counts
• Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor- 7 counts
• Sexually Oriented Material Harmful to Minors- 3 counts
• Indecent Exposure- 1 count
This case remains under investigation and will be prosecuted by the Twelfth Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
about as useful outcome as could be hoped for...but i still wonder about the commission meeting on the 22nd - trust but verify.
S'cuse me, but ain't there already another empty observatory outside Downtown Cloudcroft? *** is the pearl-clutching about? No frickin' tourists are going to tour an old hunk of junk. A ****** bar's what we need.
Sunny, with a high of 96 and low of 72 degrees. Sunny in the morning, patchy rain nearby in the afternoon and evening, clear overnight.
any city/town/village not looking after their water supplies, treatment facilities and delivery systems is being administered by idiots, i.e. timberon. and another opportunity to repeat that no data centers should be considered viable in the southwest unless they give prior commitments to supply <
First of all this “environmental activism” is mostly a group of failed bureaucrats doing interpretive dance in the town square, hoping someone will clap, because Bonito never drew crowds so much as it collected stray shopping carts and the occasional confused goose—so pouring money into keeping it open for a few tho
More comments from people afraid to use their real names. Makes their comments worth zero. Sorry, bumble bee tuna. Show yourself out.
and their comments need to be preserved to illuminate the fact that many people are simply fools. years ago, i read that the Mescalero Apache's were the highest per capita income native-american nation in our country. they had the good fortune to be banished to a place that had no oil/gold/diamonds/copper/or any o
When they say avoid spreading unconfirmed info they mean only spread the police's confirmed biased version of events! One example is there has been no transparency, has to how a man with his arms raised up above his head justifies means for deadly force.
Would you be so kind as to publish with a real name? It is an interesting talk to text comment, unfortunately I place very little value in a statement made by someone who is not brave enough to stand by their own words.
this is why body-cams and dash-cams are best practice public policy.
this will be a highly significant vote by the commissioners - it will be the first test of the new four vote majority that rehired the old/new city manager - and i'd make a sporting wager that they stick together.
