The Alamogordo High School Tigers announced Adelynn DeBoef of the Lady Tiger Cross Country as the 10/25/24 Tiger Athlete of the Week, hosted by 101.9 FM and 1230 AM and is sponsored by The Winners' Circle and the Tularosa Basin Telephone Company/Tularosa Communications, Inc.
In Volleyball action around the area Gadsden defeated Alamogordo in straight sets. Then on Thursday the Lady Tigers played Centennial which defeated the Alamogordo Lady Tigers in straight sets (25-15, 25-15, 25-9). The Lady Tigers drop to 1-18 and 0-6 in district. They next play at Organ Mountain on Tuesday.
Volleyball - Dexter defeated Tularosa Lady Wildcats in 5 sets (27-25, 25-27, 21-25, 25-14, 15-13). The Lady Cats drop to 9-10 and 0-2 in district. They next play at NMMI on Tuesday.
Volleyball -Capitan defeated Mescalero Apache in straight sets (25-19, 26-24, 25-16). The Lady Chiefs drop to 2-18 and are 0-4 in the district. They next play at Lordsburg next Thursday.
To conclude regular season football play Menaul defeated Cloudcroft 52-12. The Bears finished their season 1-8 and 0-5 in district.
Football - Texico defeated Tularosa 50-0.
The Wildcats finished regular season 6-4 and 3–1 in the district.
Around the state the The Storm cruises to a 38-3 victory over the Volcano Vista Hawks.
The La Cueva Bears dominated with a shutout performance by the defense to win 55-0 against Santa Fe.
In Piedra Vista vs. Cibola Panthers shutout the Cougars 42-0.
Sandia vs. Albuquerque High, Sandia edged out Albuquerque High to win 26-17 in one of the closest games of the week.
Valencia vs. St. Pius X, the Spartans were able to edge out the Valencia, 65-28.
The State Tournament brackets for football will be announced next weekend on NMAA website.

New sidewalks for some neighborhoods. What about the Walker area that is also in her district. Seeing is believing, Walker area has always been ignored.

She championed and approved $12 million dollars worth of Water system upgrades for walker road and yet you choose to ignore that. It is in the design phase with contract bidding to be announed in early 2026 with work to begin in later spring. That is the largest capital investment in Walker Road in over 50 years.

But also: Why is no one talking about the DISMAL low income housing in Alamogordo, and the need to investigate what is going on in those places, and the lack of housing for homeless???????????
