It’s time to start planning for the New Mexico Senior Olympics.
Per a release from the planning committee; “We are elated to present the 2024 State Summer Games for you to register. We hope you had a great time the last games, and we're happy to have you back! If you are new to NMSO, you must be 50 years or older by the date of December 31st, 2024 to be eligible to compete. On this NM Senior Olympics ONLINE Registration System you will be able to register for the upcoming State Summer Games, happening in Las Cruces, NM June 12th - 16th, 2024. Please read these pages thoroughly, for the latest updates and tips for the State Summer Games as a few things have changed since last year.

The 2024 State Summer Games will offer 25 sports. The '24 Games will allow spectators to attend sporting events and we will make an announcement about social events closer to the date of the State Summer Games.

The 25 sports being offered at the State Summer Games are Air Gun, Archery, Badminton, Basketball Skills Free Throw & 3-Point Shot, Cornhole, Cycling, Billiards, Field, Frisbee Accuracy Throw & Distance Throw, Golf, Horseshoes, Huachas(Washers), Pickleball, Power Lifting, Power Walk, Race Walk, Road Race Run, Shuffleboard, Soccer Kick Accuracy, Softball Distance Throw, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, and Track. The new sport for the 2024 lineup is Power Lifting.
Bowling Athletes be advised, NMSO will again be hosting a Tournament at a later time , seperate from the State Summer Games (due to Las Cruces not having a bowling venue).
The 43rd annual State Summer Games offers housing and meals for all pre-registered athletes. (details / fee box on the next page).
Any athlete 50+ can register now! Registration fees support athlete event insurance, data management, awards, National Senior Game Association Membership dues, game promotion and e-newsletter.
They are offering a discount IF you register early!
As an OPEN State, awards will be presented to the overall winners (1st -3rd place)
To qualify for Nationals, NMSO will qualify both in-state and out-of-state athletes in compliance with NSGA qualifying rules, meaning out-of-state athletes will not take away a qualifying spot from in-state athletes.
The 2024 State Summer Games IS A QUALIFYING EVENT/YEAR FOR 2025 NATIONAL SENIOR GAMES, presented by Humana, happening in Des Moines, Iowa.
A credit card and a valid email address are required for the online registration process. Credit cards include Debit cards, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. A 2.5% card processing fee will be charged.
At the end of the online registration process participants will be emailed a receipt and an entry confirmation letter. Please confirm all entries, if not correct, please call the committee office. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours, please check your spam or junk folder.
