KRAZY KALHRadio.org Community Programming Enhancements DJ Majik1, Reverend Warren Robinson and More

Krazy KALHRadio.org streaming is happy to announce further additions to its lineup and programming enhancements with the recently released new format of the 70s, 80s and 90s along with Southern Soul Rhythm and Blues and rebranding as KRAZY KALHRadio.org 95.1 FM, “the Soundtrack of Your Life.”

According to veteran KRAZY KALH-LP program director Anthony Lucero, “Radio is ever evolving to be what we say we are, and that is the Soundtrack Of Your Life. Beginning on Sunday, May 28, we will be playing an entire album from beginning to end without interruption, straight through, to bring back even more memories. We have a schedule posted on AlamogordoTownNews.com site displaying what album will be played each week all Summer long. Sundays and 6 and we are excited to bring it to you.” 

Beginning Saturday May 28th at 6 pm, and 6 pm every Sunday after KRAZY KALHRadio.org will stream the coolest albums, from the “Soundtrack of Your Life” beginning with the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack, June 4th Billy Joe, Glass Houses, June 11th and more.

In addition to that programing addition, the station has announces a partnership with DJ Majik1, who has joined the team of new featured artist showcasing Southern Soul, Rhythm and Blues and uptempo Classic Dance Mixes with a modern twist.

DJ Majik1’s debut to Alamogordo was via an introduction by local sports legend and Alamogordo Center of Commerce Board Member, Ed McDonald. A partnership arrangement with the Alamogordo Center of Commerce, Alamogordo MainStreet and Budweiser  brought Majik1 to the community, to entertain and host the New York Avenue Block Parties, April thru June 2023 and even more cool ventures beyond! 

DJ Majik1 can be seen in person, on YouTube, and heard via KRAZY KALHRadio.org in simulcast as he streams live from the New York Avenue Cultural Arts and History District, at Roadrunner Emporium, every Wednesday from 5:15 pm to 7 pm with the “Hump Day Wednesday Show” featuring Soul, R & B and and uptempo vibes.

DJ Majik1’s “Throwback Thursdays” is a mix of old school soul and dance from 5:15 pm till 7 pm. 

Majik1 is also taking his show on the road and hosting live dance parties at several local businesses and at Holloman Air Force Base.

Those events stream simulcast on KALHRadio.org locally and around the world via his YouTube Channel and his thousands of followers around the world.

DJ Majik1’s primary residence is New Orleans, and is a new addition to the Alamogordo creative arts scene. 

DJ Majik 1 Live events and broadcasts set the tone for a Class-A soul blues and soul party for your ears. His YouTube popularity extends his reach well beyond years of entertaining amongst clubs, events and concert venues across the nation and on a series of cruise ships around the world. Amid his journey and connection to soul blues and dance, DJ Majik 1 Live celebrates four decades as a fan favorite and is recognized for his twenty-year tenure sparked by an affiliation with Budweiser. In collaboration with the brand, in 2002 to present, he was notably the first and only African American selected to represent region four which covered territories ranging from Maryland to Miami and Mississippi to South Carolina. He now represents the brand in our region and beyond.

DJ Majik1 evokes a well-versed grown folks’ atmosphere, as he showcases a music mix that is clean family friendly and mix of his hand picked favorites that make you want to dance, rather you are in your 20s, or feeling nostalgic and of an age that grew up in the 70s, 80s and 90s.

In addition the station is launching more local personalities into the mix of reporting and bringing community orienting thought provoking content.

The Reverend Warren Robinson has joined the mix of with his “Inspirational Thoughts” segment showcases weekly during the news.

Liliane Pilot of High Rolls is another local now providing a weekly segment that’s an “Ask Lilly” segment featuring positive advice for a chaotic world in a segment we call “ Community Perspectives.”

The station commitment to getting more nonprofits airtime expands, with more emphasis on the cultural arts with segments weekly from Otero Arts, all the while continuing the segments weekly for Kitty City NM with “Cat Chat” and weekly features with Animal Village NM and Love Inc of Alamogordo. Rene Sepulveda is soon to launch “Fitness Talk” and more.

Further locally produced and enhanced weekly features include the “Weekly Medical Report” by Katie Neal in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic, Sara Moro’s “Fishing Report”, and Katelin Spradley joins us for New Mexico Farm & Livestock Bureau “Ag Min” during the weekend newscasts.
