Homicide investigation by the Alamogordo Police…

At approximately 0603 hours on July 2, 2022, Officers with the Alamogordo Police Department responded to the 2000 block of Dewey Lane in reference to a report of a person down. Once officers arrived on scene, they discovered a male subject was deceased.

The 12th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Major Crimes Unit was activated and assumed the investigation. Preliminary investigation revealed the decedent was identified as 16-year-old Augustine A. Moreno of Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Investigators at the scene were able to gather physical evidence and surveillance video to assist with the investigation. The attached photograph contains three people of interest related to this investigation.
