Stan Ford, Nature Photographer Showing at the Otero Artspace
Otero Arts welcomes back Stan Ford, nature photographer, for a solo show in October. The exhibit continues through October and closes on Saturday the 24th at 4pm. Free exhibition hours are Thursday thru Sunday 1 pm to 4 pm.
This past May, Ford was the artist-in-residence at the Valles Caldera National Park. Ford said, “That was a thrill and a bucket list experience for me.”
This was the third time he has been selected by the National Park Service to teach photography at one of their parks. “We teach the basics of night/astro-photography and shoot at different locations in the preserve like Longmire’s Cabin (from the TV series “Longmire”) and The “Missing” Cabin (from Ron Howard’s film starring Tommy Lee Jones and Cate Blanchet).”Most of the workshops have been centered upon night photography.
The classes are free and there is always a lengthy waitlist. This year the class was fortunate to see the Northern Lights,” said Ford.

thank you once again, for fighting for access to public records in this and many other situations - democracy truly dies in darkness.

just like health care - contracting to operate jails and prisons by entities whose primary purpose is making a profit will inevitably result in ethical problems. and all these jails and prisons that are short-staffed have a simple problem - when any business can't keep employees -
This a perfect example of why we should never have jails and prisons be managed by for-profit entities.
Inmates are sons or daughters, mothers, fathers, family and friends of our community. They and we deserve answers and deserve justice
Private prisons are simply legal slavery. You are literally selling a persons freedom.
evidently this capture occurred inside the courthouse, which would make it apparent it was co-ordinated with the sheriffs department, the entity with jurisdiction. the fact the capture was conducted by unidentified individuals wearing masks to conceal their identities, and traveling in an unmarked vehicle, makes it
The CEO of the courts claims the apprehension occured in the parking lot which is outside their juristiction. We have asked to county for its policy and do they condone these actions on county owned property.
People like Ms Jones make me feel proud to know that there are people here, who still recognize things that are very wrong, and who some will take the time to speak out about these things, to expose these wrongdoings, and to explain how these tactics fly in the face of everything the United States claims to represen
